About Adriaan Herman 
Hailing from Johannesburg, Adriaan Herman burst onto the South African golf playing scene as something of a prodigy. After he first picked up a club in 1994, his passion for the game grew incredibly fast, and he became a ZERO handicap player in only three short years. This amazing feat caught the attention of the Pretoria Country Club South Africa, who recognized his talent and selected him to play in their prestigious “Scratch League.” Adriaan represented the club in nationwide competition with established players such as Richard Sterne, Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen. After a successful amateur career, Adriaan turned professional in 2000 and competed in the South African Sunshine Tour, winning the 2003 Vodacom Classic along the way.
Adriaan’s passion and talent extended to success and he decided to share his knowledge and experience to the golfing world. He started teaching golf in 2000 under the watchful eye of Gary Player himself at The Vodacom Gary Player Golf Academy in Johannesburg. He was responsible for junior golf, group clinics and private lessons. In 2003 Adriaan decided to move abroad to Singapore to furthermore share his knowledge and experience to the new upcoming golfing market around Asia.
As a golf instructor, Adriaan has more than 15 years teaching experience and conducted over 17000 teaching hours. Now based in Bangkok, his is the co- founder and Director of Golf at TOP GOLF ASIA.
Adriaan’s Teaching Philosophy
He adapts to his student’s needs, making the learning experience fun and effective. His teaching method will assist you in understanding your own game according to your own unique physical characteristics and capabilities. He will compliment your strengths and successfully identify the weakness in your game. With his systematic coaching and by applying incremental changes in your overall game, you will sooner than later experience a huge improvement from the tee box to the putting green.
